Johnny Hathaway, Oarsome’s official photographer, friend and mentor. Since the start of the Oarsome’s journey, (way before Dragon’s Den!), Johnny has, and continues to be a great supporter and encourager! Johnny is behind (literally!) every original and professional photograph you see on this website.

With boundless energy and enthusiasm, with great experience in (trade)show biz! Johnny came along to and showed Emily the ropes of the Trade Shows, and engaged with the lovely customers we met at the many trade shows we visited. A pro in the events world, working with the like of Walkers, Kellogg’s and WKD while running Bubble Events marketing agency with his beautiful wife Vanessa.

2. What’s the single best thing about your job?

The Independence of working for myself - I’m in charge of my own destiny.

3.Who has had the biggest impact on your career to date?

My Wife

4. What is the best advice you’ve ever been given?

Be honest and treat people with respect.

5. Who is your inspiration?

6. If you had to give someone an award, who would you choose and what award would it be?

My son - An award for making me feel proud!!

7. What was the biggest challenge that you had to overcome?

Starting a business at the start of a recession.

8. What advice would you give to your younger-self?

Don’t take life too seriously and enjoy every moment.

9. What one thing would you like to be remembered for?

Being kind

10. Our goal is making hands happy, so, what makes your hands happy?

My road bike when I’m competing in Triathlons.
